Here is the stunning cushion made by Rosie Rumble with the 19 children at Edale School. They used White-faced Woodland which NFC processed and learned to knit in order to make the back, which also has 19 children made out of wool on it – the girls have skirts and the boys trousers if you look carefully! The front is a felt picture of Edale, with sheep on the hills, a red tractor and chickens in the foreground. There may even be a photograph of the location on which it is modelled … The farmer’s wool was also used in the Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook. Sadly, he died in January this year, but the cushion is dedicated to his memory.
