Wonderwool Wales, 9-10 April 2011 was the first event where the knitters and crafters producing the first Woolsack cushions were able to get together and stuff their cushions. It was very exciting to hear about all the WI's and other groups getting involved, and to realise how much was happening, even at these very early stages, 'outside' the internet.
This is Sue from Sheepfold knitting a cushion using the 'corner to corner' method. This pattern is linked from this website
This beautiful embroidered cushion below used fabric woven from Lincoln Longwool, and was made by Sharon from Greengate Wools
From top left hand corner and moving clockwise the wools used are Shetland, Swaledale, Shetland & North Ronaldsay, Manx Loaghtan and Shetland, Bluefaced Leicester, Gotland
